WHO IS DPS PENN?
DPS Penn is a land acquisition firm that has a strategic alliance with Chesapeake Energy ("Chesapeake") in parts of the Marcellus Shale in Western PA and Eastern Ohio. We are an affiliate of the Dale Resources family of companies based out of Dallas, Texas. DPS Penn began operating in 1981 in East Texas and has drilled over 350 wells. Most recently, DPS Penn pioneered the urban leasing trend in North Texas and started a strategic alliance with Chesapeake in 2006.
WHAT DOES DPS PENN DO?
It is our job to prepare all the oil and gas rights for operations. We conduct research and work with property owners to educate them on the process to fully develop their oil and gas rights. We will efficiently and effectively put together drillable units for the possibility of optimal oil and gas development.
WHO IS CHESAPEAKE?
Chesapeake is the largest independent producer of natural gas in the nation and the #1 driller of clean-burning, domestic natural gas which is found in the Marcellus Shale. Chesapeake has interests in over 36,000 oil and gas wells in the United States. When you sign a lease with DPS Penn, it will be assigned to Chesapeake.
WHAT DOES CHESAPEAKE DO?
Chesapeake has the highest rig count and drills more natural gas wells every year in the United States than any other company. You want Chesapeake on your side because they will strive to be the most active driller in the Marcellus Shale. The only way to receive royalties is to drill a well. It will benefit you to have the most active driller in the nation on your side.

HOW DO I KNOW IF I OWN MY OIL AND GAS RIGHTS?
Many people own at least a portion of their oil and gas rights. DPS Penn will do preliminary research to determine what, in DPS Penn's opinion, your oil and gas rights ownership is for leasing purposes. This opinion is not a definite determination of oil and gas rights ownership.
